TECKNET Bluetooth Wireless Mouse 4800 DPI

This mouse feels very nice in my hand (and I have big hands), and it works great when it's awake, but it has a power save "feature" which wouldn't be all that bad, except for one basic missing: it doesn't "gesture awake" -- I have to press a mouse button to get it to wake up, which wouldn't be all that bad except for yet another annoyance: That button click REGISTERS!! That click is recognized by the operating system, and that is a problem because there is no way to know where the mouse cursor is, on the screen, until you actually press the button. By then, it's too late! Potential damage done!! I'm training myself to click the Right button, which will likely only open a menu popup (worst case), but still, I have to click again to close it.

VERY ANNOYING -- especially since there doesn't appear to be any way to disable or modify this "feature".

What do I mean by "Gester Awake"? Basically, waking the mouse up by simply moving it. All my wired mice I've ever owned always cleared the Screen Saver (for instance) by simply moving the mouse. It would be nice if this mouse woke itself in the same way. Yes, being an engineer myself, I realize that's a bit of a challenge (to sense movement, some power is needed, But, accelerometer chips can be very low power [on the order of 2uA or less], and all that would be needed is an interrupt signal, and most MPUs can respond to an interrupt in their "sleep". It wouldn't have to be a "fancy" [aka expensive] one, either. All it has to do is detect movement.)

I recently sent a message about how my item arrived broken. I followed all the suggestions you provided to try and fix it, but unfortunately, nothing worked. I’m a bit disappointed because I had to spend my money on something that didn’t work out.

All II can say is it worked great for a few weeks, then failed. I replaced the batteries to no avail. Throwing it out as I am not inclined to fight a battle with a mouse.

The battery cover is actually the bottom part of the mouse. I never seen such a stupid design and low quality plastic parts in my life. The cover is actually falling off by moving the mouse. Even the cheapest mice never had a design flow like this. This nullifies the value of the otherwise ergonomically nice product. DO NOT BUY IT. It was meant to be a gift to me daughter, but ended up buying another brand instead this.

It connected very easily and worked the first time. 2 days later my laptop doesn't recognize it!!
